How to start workout in this lockdown?

Needless to say that this lockdown period has made all of us lazy. We are either working from home or lying on bed, having snacks and binge watching all day long. Well, on the one hand we think about working out and on the other hand we are too lazy to go to the kitchen and fill our water-bottles. But we all know this practice of being lazy is making us unfit and day by day we are getting unhealthy and our immune system is being weakened; as a result we can face huge problems. So stop being lazy and get up! Let's work out! Before that, here are some tips in the following to start your regular workout in a proper way.

Firstly you have to keep in mind that Yoga is for everyone - from teenagers to the elderlies. Yoga can keep everyone mentally calm and physically healthy. Once you decide you will start, it will be easy for you to go with your decision and take the next steps.

  • Keep in mind that you are a beginner. Do not start having inferiority complex watching the physical strength and stamina of the fitness influencers / trainers on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram. Firstly start walking as fast as you can for 30-40 minutes daily at any one time from your schedule. You can walk on the terrace or in the front-yard or back-yard of your house. After few days of speed-walking, move on to the next step - start jogging. Don't forget to wear proper shoes for this. This way the inertia of your body will be broken, blood circulation will be increased and your body will get ready to work out.

  • Now map out your daily schedule according to your personal stuffs. Specify your time for waking up and for going to sleep. It is very necessary to make healthy eating habits at regular intervals. Healthy diet is not something that is too strict; drink plenty of water and eat seasonal fruits, cereals, vegetables in moderation and carbs, protein and fat as needed throughout the day, that's it! Omit oil, ghee, spices, grills as much as possible. These are absolutely essential if you want to get the full benefit of working out.

  • Moving on to the next step, start free-hand. Gradually your body will become flexible while doing stretching or bending exercises. You will no longer feel your pains, aches, pulled muscle or muscle strains; you will find love in exercising. Then you will understand that your fitness routine is leading you towards a healthy lifestyle.

  • If it is not possible for you to work out in the morning, you can choose in the afternoon or any time conveniently. Just keep in mind that you should start working out at least 2-3 hours after having your meal. If you do not give this gap after eating, dizziness, nausea or muscle cramps may occur during workout. Remember - energy is needed to digest food. That's why we become a bit lazy after eating. You must concentrate only on your performance during the whole fitness regime. It is very important to make your mind stable while you are taking care of your body. So before you start the workout, sit down the way you are comfortable. Then close your eyes and meditate taking deep breaths. When the workout is over, sit still for 5 minutes, close your eyes, take deep breaths and think about what you did today. And yeah! Please, PLEASE keep your phone away while working out. NEVER check WhatsApp or Facebook notifications during workout.

Now you all know the basic things of starting workout at home in this lockdown; you will know the rest by doing it. So what are you waiting for? Do not delay anymore. Start working out in order to become healthier and more capable. Goodluck!

The Significance of Remembering Our Roots

"In the heart of every person, In stories young and old, Lies a treasure trove of wisdom, A heritage of gold. From ancient tales and legends, To customs we hold dear, Our culture shapes our journey, With values crystal clear. In every song and festival, In rituals we perform, We honor those before us, Their spirit keeps us warm. Remembering our ancestors, The paths they paved with care, We walk with pride and reverence, Their legacy we bear. Though the world may change around us, With challenges anew, Our roots keep us grounded, In all we say and do. Never forget your heritage, The traditions that you know, For in the roots of our souls, Is where our true selves grow." In an era characterized by rapid globalization and technological advancement, it is easy to become engrossed in the pursuit of progress and innovation. While embracing new ideas and opportunities is essential for growth, it is equally important to remember and honor our roots. Our cultural heritage and values s...
